As you may have heard, the weather was not optimal at this year’s Stubai Cup. However, we were there and were proud to announce a number of exciting new products for the 2025 season. Details of each product and their precise availability will be announced at a later date. Below, the Delta 5.
Delta 5
The all-new 2-liner Delta 5 is still perfectly placed in the C segment as its predecessors. It is the straight replacement of the successful Delta 4, keeping the ease of use, comfort of an accessible EN C, and adding the performance of a 2 liner. With 65 cells and an Aspect Ratio of 6.07, the canopy is built with Dominico 30D. It is currently under certification in size ML. Sizes will be launched as soon as certified.
The Naos is our new open Harness conceived, designed and made with the highest levels of safety suitable as a first harness and also as an XC harness
NAOS is equipped with a back protection system located under the seat. This protection can be chosen between FOAM or INFLATABLE; both have homologation test results under 30g.
Additionally, there are two foam supports to enhance comfort and further protect the pilot’s back and legs.
NAOS also features an innovative shield system made from high-density foam, specifically designed to absorb impacts and provide extra protection for the pilot. These elements are strategically placed to protect the pelvis, thighs, and spine from accidental impacts
Here are some of its features:
4 sizes available
FOAM or INFLATABLE protection
Side protections
Back protection
Lower back protection
Safety T-Lock system
4.35kg for foam protector
3.80kg for inflatable protector
Top comfort levels for an open harness
Rear pocket with camelback holder

The BASE 3 is our sports-intermediate high-B. Our optimisation software allowed us to increase the performance without increasing the aspect ratio compared to its predecessor. The BASE 3 is born from the BGD Performance Quest project, whose first offspring was the DIVA 2. It clearly shares some family traits: the high arc, short lines, tapered shape and raked wingtips give it a very distinctive silhouette, as well as multiple performance and stability advantages.
Like the LYNX 2, it is a 2.5-liner. The performance gains from the lower line consumption are enhanced by the lines being unsheathed micro-lines. The 2.5-line layout also gives a really nice two-liner feel with the rear-riser steering.
The BASE 3 has excellent pitch stability and very low surge tendency, yet it remains a talkative glider, giving the pilot good feedback at all times. And something new for BGD – the BASE 3 has winglets. A safety feature, they help the glider exit from steep spiral dives.
The BASE 3 is a real feel-good glider with excellent glide performance, the tool for pilots to break their personal XC bests while feeling safe and at ease.
The Photon brings a new era for the Sport class (EN C). All of Ozone’s know-how in 2-liner designs has been applied to this wing to make it the missing link between conventional 3-liners and competition models.
True Performance was our focus during the extensive development phase to produce practical usability and comfort throughout the speed range in real XC conditions.
The handling, stability, and ease of use are as important to us as the performance numbers, which are close to those of the Zeno 2. Nonetheless, collapse behaviour and passive safety are solidly within the EN C category. Welcome to the future.
The Photon is now available, Ring Jiri on 0417 776 550 for the cost.

The
Delta 4 offers the largest performance gain we have yet seen with the
Delta model range whilst retaining the comfort and ease of use that has
made this series the best-selling sport class wing of all time.
2-Liner technology in the wing tips significantly reduces drag while improving spanwise lift distribution.
A new lower-drag profile developed from the Mantra series with smaller openings and higher efficiency.
Performance Testing
The D4 has a massive +12cm/s sink rate advantage over the D3. In calm
air, this results in a full glider-cone height gain every minute. In
turbulence, the gain is larger as the D4 cuts through turbulence using
gusts for altitude gain, much like a competition wing. The max speed of
the D4 is 3kph faster, walking away from the D3 in accelerated flight.
True Performance
Intuitive and efficient AoA control, an improved airfoil design, and
optimised internal structure make the D4 an XC glide machine in
turbulence. Its structure is the strongest we have yet made. Even in
aggressive turbulence the profile remains undisturbed, retaining its
shape and efficiency without performance loss from chordwise
deformation.
New ACR System
The new Ozone Active Control Risers, inherited from the Mantra
series, allows full AoA control throughout the speed range without
deforming the camber of the profile. The ACR system acts on B & C
lines giving 2-liner control with the comfort of a 3-liner design.
Safety
This is the best behaved Delta yet. The D4 is highly resistant to
collapse, even at full speed in turbulence. The post-collapse behaviour
is the mildest of the entire Delta series. This has been achieved by
keeping the aspect ratio relatively low, by improving the structure and
line architecture, and by optimising wing twist. Extensive testing shows
little tendency to shoot or rotate after side collapse, and no shock
re-inflation. The behaviour in frontals is excellent with immediate
reopening.
Thanks to the Ozone Shark Nose profile, the wing is resistant to spin
& stall and can be flown safely at low speed making top landings,
or landings in tight spots, simple for a wing of this class.
Tuned for Joy
Compared to the D3, the handling is vastly improved. The brakes are
linear — precise in the first part of the range and effective in the
second. It is easy to adjust the angle of bank and to place the wing
exactly where you want in the core. Strong chord structure and high sail
cohesion make for highly coordinated roll/yaw and an agile, exciting
feel.
The Pilot
The Delta 4 is for intermediate to advanced pilots who fly 50-100 hrs
per year and have SIV experience. Due to its ease of use and high
levels of passive safety, it is also very suitable for pilots moving up
from the category below. More experienced pilots who want to fly with
higher margins of safety will find the D4 a satisfying XC tool with
class-leading performance.
